ct-scan-01

A new study found that CT scans cause 5% of all cancer! That's a crazy stat. And these fucking doctors give out CT scans like candy and never tell you the risk.

One chest CT scan is equivalent to the radiation exposure from 1,750 hours of high altitude jet fight! That's nuts.

Do not get a CT scan unless you absolutely need it. MRI scans are far safer, so insist on MRI instead. A CT scan uses x-rays while MRI does not. A CT scan is just a super x-ray, using 10x more radiation than a standard x-ray. Ask for normal x-rays rather than CT scans to save yourself 10x the radiation.

Nice documentary.

The deep sea mining is a really cool new thing.

EVs are still better overall than gas cars. Don't let environmentalist fearmongering skew your perspective. There's no such thing as an economic free lunch. Civilization requires lots of mining. The future requires trillions of batteries.

The solution to the environment problem is not to stop mining, it is to mine more until we make ourselves so developed that we can go back and rebuild the environment. Mankind needs resources to bootstrap itself to higher development, higher consciousness, and higher power which will then be deployed to terraform the Earth into a more beautiful ecosystem.

Imagine that in 200 years mankind becomes so powerful that we can build a new continent in the middle of the Pacific ocean and seed it with an epic rain-forest and animals, maybe even dinosaurs! That's where we're headed. A low-hanging fruit would be to reforest the Sahara desert. The potential to terraform the Earth with more forests and wildlife is really exciting. Every desert on Earth can be greened, all it requires is solar or fusion power.

I find that environmentalists lack vision. They are playing not to lose rather than to win big. Our goal should not be to get nature back to where it was but to make it even better. Building a new continent is a far better project than colonizing Mars. Building a new continent would give mankind a powerful sense of collective life purpose. This would be the greatest project since the Pyramids.

The goal for environmentalists should be to create Super-Earth.

This is outstanding:

Make no mistake about it: conservatism is the justification of corruption and lower development. It always has been. Always. This sounds so biased and unfair, but that's just how the cookie crumbles.

However, this is not the same as to say that conservatism is always wrong. There are many cases where mankind is just so corrupt that higher development is impossible. So I am not simplistically saying that conservatism is wrong. I'm saying something advanced and non-partisan. And this does not mean liberals are free from corruption or that they are simplistically "the good guys".

The reason it works this way is because humanity has no recognition of how corrupt it is. Humanity underestimates its own corruption by a factor of at least 100x. The corruption is so profound that it is impossible for humanity to fix itself. Ironically, this means that corrupt policies and ways are actually important, necessary, useful, and "right" — because we have to live within our situation. Progressives counter-intuitively go wrong in that they underestimate how corrupt mankind is and the need for policies that realistically manage this corruption.

For example, progressives underestimate how racist humans are, so they naively advocate for stuff like endless immigration, not understanding that this will create serious backlash and regression precisely because most human beings are racist and do not want to live alongside immigrants. It's funny because progressives are portrayed as calling their opponents racists too much, but in fact progressives underestimate the prevalence and appeal of racism. So ironically, conservatives are right on this issue — not because conservatives are better or morally superior — but because conservative immigration policy aligns more realistically with the corrupt state of mankind: that most humans are racist. Conservatives are right precisely because they are morally inferior and mankind is too morally degenerate to act any better. This is why communism failed. This is why environmentalism fails. This is why Israel-Palestine fails. This is why immigration fails. This is why demilitarization fails. This is why veganism fails. This is why libertarianism fails. This is why drug decriminalization fails. This is why defunding the police fails. This is why the UN fails. This is why world peace fails. This is why free love fails. This is why the hippies failed. This is why guys like Trump, Putin, Xi, Orban, Erdogan, Netanyahu, etc. rule the world.

Conservatism is so successful and popular because mankind is corrupt to the bone. Mankind is way more evil than it admits to itself. Mankind is so hopelessly corrupt that progressives constantly fail. This is not a demonization of conservatives nor a glorification of leftists, this is the most accurate model of mankind, which has the most predictive power. If you do not understand this, you will keep failing in your political predictions and your activism.

You must understand the beast you are wrestling with or it will gore you. Leftists regard mankind as a cute puppy when it is more like a demonic rhinoceros.

We who wrestle with demonic rhinocerii.

True and healthy conservatism comes when you understand that mankind, especially in groups, behave like deluded demons. This is not an ideology, this is insight born from deep experience, contemplation, and God-Consciousness. Stop underestimating corruption.

This report is right-on: Infinite Love and Nothingness forever.

I also really like this part: "If you eat an orange, the taste you feel in your mouth is the communication with the spirit of the orange." That's a powerful perspective. I haven't thought of it that way before. I'm stealing that idea.
