I just watched this recent Nick Cage film. It's a kind of surreal psychological thriller.
Is it good? It's hard to say. It's extremely WEIRD and very surreal. Unlike anything I've seen. It's very specific. Not for everyone. Only if you want to watch something weird and you love Nick Cage. But it's well made and to me it was worth it because it's so unique that it's fascinating. You have no idea what's coming next. At this point in my life I need films that are smart and offer something different than mainstream blockbusters. So here we are. I appreciate that Nick Cage is still doing interesting and creative work.
There are some excellent examples of gaslighting in this film.
People have no idea just how much social media and search engines manipulate their view of reality.
Google is a profound source of epistemic corruption on the planet because they have prostituted the world's information. Google holds the largest source of the world's information but their primary agenda is to maximize profits. This is a huge conflict of interest and perversion of values. Any entity that holds the majority of the world's information has a profound responsibility to have truth as its #1 value, not profit. Google violates this fundamental responsibility, which must lead to evil.
It's pretty likely YouTube has my channel blacklisted because my videos get 90% less traffic than they used to. The profits I get from my work have fallen 70%, simply from algorithm changes. Don't forget that if you found Actualized.org, you got very lucky. I got successful on YouTube long before its recommendation algorithms were so heavily manipulated and filtered. If I started Actualized.org today, there's no way I could get a large audience and most likely you would not find my content. This is not some evil conspiracy against me, it's just how the Social Matrix works. The Social Matrix is not going to help you deconstruct it or transcend it. This is how society maintains its developmental center of gravity. Any content above the center of gravity of the development level of a culture will get very little visibility, such that 95% of the public isn't even aware that high consciousness, high development teachings exist.
Think about the hundreds of millions of people who could benefit from these teachings but will live their whole lives never even knowing these teachings exist because search engines and social media algorithms never show it to them. This is why society is so slow to raise its level of development. All the major mechanisms of society are designed to reinforce collective illusions and biases, to serve collective survival. Actualized.org content contradicts all that and threatens collective survival. So no social mechanism will ever promote this content, because it isn't profitable — profit being just another word for survival.
Do you see that truth cannot be turned into a profit machine, because as soon as it is, it comes corrupted to serve human survival and stops being truth. In order for my teachings to be as truthful as possible I have to sacrifice A LOT of profit. I have to place truth over profit. I can't care about profit because as soon as I do the quality of the teachings tanks and their spiritual power is lost. But because of that the content cannot generate enough profit to compete with all the other content which exploits and caters to human survival. Therefore the social mechanisms cannot profit off my content and so there is zero incentive for them to promote my content. For every dollar Google can make off of my content, they could make $1000 dollars off Joe Rogan's or Jordan Peterson's content — because my content is more true. There is a direct inverse relationship between profit and truth. And we live in a culture that values profit 1000:1 over truth. So how do you get such a culture to find God? You can't.
The point here is not for me to complain about lack of views. The point is that I want you to see the mechanism by which human beings keep themselves blind and ignorant. Why doesn't everyone understand God? Not by accident, by design. Every aspect of society is ingeniously designed to prevent the understanding of God/Truth. This includes science and academia. The issue is not that profound teaching don't exist, it's that they are nearly impossible to promote to everyone in society because all the mechanism of publicity are strictly regulated to filter out the most profound and purest truths. In theory the whole world could access my teachings for free and profoundly change their understanding of reality for the better. But in practice not even 0.0000001% will. This is nothing new. Society has been designed this way for 5,000 years. This is why the stuff I teach is not taught in schools and universities. There is a profound conflict of interest against truth in all social institutions, from elite universities to giant corporations to churches to TV to podcasts.
I'm just explaining why God is so poorly understood by mankind. There's this broadly held assumption that if some important truth is know about the universe, it will naturally bubble up to the top and become widely known. A scientist or atheist might say: "If God was real, why aren't universities teaching it?! Therefore God must be unreal." But that's not how society works. I have crystal clear scientifically-rigorous explanations of God. But no one wants to listen. There's a kind of tragic beauty in that. You can't help people who never cared about truth to begin with.
Google doesn't care about truth. Facebook doesn't care about truth. Harvard doesn't care about truth. CNN doesn't care about truth. TikTok doesn't care about truth. Joe Rogan doesn't care about truth. They all care more about profits. They all invest 1000x more time and attention into profit maximization than truth-seeking. So the world is the way it is. The funny thing is... if the world wasn't this way, I wouldn't have a job.
Don't forget how lucky you were to find this content. It's like a winning lottery ticket fell in your lap from the sky. Most people will never find me. So make the most of it.
This is so deliciously counter-intuitive.
You should want reality to be an illusion. It’s a common mistake to be horrified that everything is an illusion. Reality being a total illusion is the best way reality could be. As you do philosophy and truth-seeking, you should be giddy with excitement at the idea that everything will turn out to be an illusion. You should want nothing to be real. You should want humanity to be an illusion. You should want all human goals to be illusions. You should want physics and science to be illusions. You should want Christianity and Buddhism to be illusions. You should want everything to be your own imagination, because that is the coolest way for reality to be. The greater the mindfuck, the more profound reality is, the more beautiful.
Don’t you see? We don’t need the physical or social world to be real — that’s an inferior form of meaning. The meaning of life shouldn’t come from any particular thing being real, it should come from the realization that you live inside of God’s Mind, inside an Infinite Dream. Don’t you see? It is so much more meaningful, so much more beautiful that you're imagining the world than that you are in a "real" world. Reality has the most beautiful design: an Infinite Illusion. Don’t get bummed out by this, fall in love with illusion. You are an Infinite Illusion falling in love with itself. Nothing could be more meaningful because nothing could be more profound. Don’t you see? It's more beautiful that your children are a metaphysical illusion than that they are a physical reality. The love for your children is so much more profound when you realize that they are figments inside of God’s Mind! Wow!
You want love to be infinitely flexible, unbounded by physical reality. You want metaphysical love. You want unlimited love. Unlimited love requires Infinite Imagination: the power to imagine entire worlds. This means the worlds are imaginary. If love was limited by physical reality, it couldn't be Infinite Love! Your physical views are too small to be contain Truth/Love. You want love to transcend physics. Don't you see? You want your love for your children to transcend their physical existence. The only way to love your children forever is if they exist inside an Eternal Mind! You want the physical division between you and your children to be imaginary! You want UNITY. UNITY is only possible if all difference is imaginary! Don't you see? God has already thought all this shit through. God is designed to maximize love. Which is why physical reality is an illusion. Stop resisting the genius of the design. Embrace it. Trust in the beauty of illusion and be at peace.

Imagine the power of a life lived for pure understanding. You don’t care about other stuff. You don’t care about pleasure or money or sex or power or success or love or politics or friends or family or sports or small-talk. You just wake up and your primary motivation is to understand reality — truly, genuinely, actually. Not how you want it to be. Not what you believe. Not some spiritual fantasy. Not how someone told you it is. You only care how anything actually is. You just want to know what is true.
And now, try to imagine what steps you would take from this one pure intention. How you’d think, how you’d question, how you’d study, what sources you’d gather, what tools you’d use — if your goal was pure understanding of the highest truths. How would you go about deriving pure, actual understanding of reality from scratch?
Just look at the purity of such a life! Look at all the bullshit that is instantly eliminated. Would you run off to join some fancy university? No! Would you join a cult? No! Would you believe New Age stories? No! Would you trust science? No! Would you believe religion? No! Would you subscribe to any ideology? No! Would you trust Buddhism? No! Would you trust reason? No! Would you trust mankind? No! Would you become a political activist? No! Would you join a giant corporation and do grinding administrative work to earn money and climb the corporate ladder? No! Would you get drunk and high? No! Would you waste your time chasing girls? No! Would you waste your time hanging out with loudmouthed friends? No! Would you waste your time in online debates? No! Would you spend any time defending and rationalizing your worldview and beliefs? No! Would you need someone tell you what to do and how to think? No!
Why not? Because naturally none of this is compatible with a genuine desire for understanding and truth. People who do that shit never cared about truth, they had some other agenda! So what would you do? You would sit down and start exploring your direct experience from scratch, making observations about the world from first principles, observing how your own mind, body, emotions, and rationality work. You would derive all understanding from scratch, trusting no one, believing no one, caring about no one’s approval, validation, nor opinion. It would just be a pure, genuine, selfless process of exploring raw experience, communion with reality itself, having direct insights into its structure and true nature.
Do not underestimate the power of genuine motive for truth and understanding. This cuts through all human nonsense and noise. This desire is completely self-sufficient, able to bootstrap itself from total ignorance to Omniscience. This is the purest, cleanest, healthiest way of life. You just wake up every morning and you look for truth and understanding.
Note: You don't have to be so pure and perfect about it. This was an idealized scenario. You could still make room for stuff like work, fun, family, occasional sex. This was an idealization to help you see the power of pure desire for understanding. To see how self-guiding, self-correcting it is.
This kind of motivation generated Actualized.org. My secret is, unlike everyone else you know, I actually cared about knowing what's true. Not something else. That makes all the difference in the world. I was far from so pure and perfect about it. But the core motive was there. I am not saying this kind of life is right for everyone. I'm just explaining where my understanding ultimately comes from. People often think I do this work as a career, for money, for ego, for approval, to run a cult, to change the world. People even think I do it to help people. No. I do it for pure understanding. Because that is the purest motive.
